VFK History of Cookie Cutters Quest!
7:00 A.M. Pacific Time Sunday, December 5th, 2010 to 10:00 P.M. Pacific Time Monday, December 6th, 2010.

 
The first week of December is National Cookie Cutter Week! Cookie Cutters have an interesting history. It is not known exactly when people began shaping dough, but some of the earliest techniques involved stamping dough with crudely formed clay stamps or forming shapes by hand. Over time shaped cookies have become an important part of celebrations for Christmas and other special occasions, and collecting cookie cutters has become a popular hobby. In some countries the cookie cutters can be as intricate as their long history! On today's quest, we are going to explore some of the history of cookie cutters.

Your reward for completing this quest will be 1,000 credits, and a Snowflake Sofa!

Thanks Fun and Duck.i.  Glad 2 people can sit on this...but isn't this just a bigger version of a chair we got last year?  I'll have to go back and check.  When it's rotated, it looks like it's somewhat 'stretched'.  Wonder if they just elongated the previous (single seat) chair?    Still pretty.

Found the chair.  Here they are, side by side.  The new one definitely looks like it's just a 'stretched' version of the old one:

Yep, same design/stretched seat from last year.  I like them both though!

My thinking on Cookie Cutters and Snowflake is this:

1 - Christmas time
2 - means cookies to bake for Christmas
3 - Christmas & cookies = both winter
4 - winter wonderland = snowflakes
5 - snowflake cookies

and I do have cookie cutters that are snowflakes design   Come to think of it, so does my Mom. We always made sugar roll out cookies in various  shapes of snowflake/gingerbread men/snowmen/etc designs for Christmas time

Very true!   Maybe it's the sofa where we sit to eat the cookies? 
Maybe it's that sofa where all the cookie crumbs are in between the cushions?  I'll keep stretching....

I know it matches last years chair, but I actually like it for that.  I think the chair and the seat are cute and I love to hear that it seats 2 people and not just one person.
