Host Hunt Bug-Part Deux (aka, "here we go again")

I said it today during the Host Hunt and it went through, but someone else won. How does that happen?!?!?! Also I tried again in another room and these people keeping talking about stupid things and even said a cuss word and didn't get banned for it. They kept freezing me up by talking, changing clothes over and over again and even using fairy (not turning it off and flying around the room). Also they kept sending trade and friend requests and they already had their Snow Shoes. I seriously liked the old host games better! :madder:

Oh, and wanted to add that I sent in a help report and I got a message from them saying:
Thank you for your report. HOST_Dragon had already been found before you entered the room.VFK Staff
Um, huh, how is that possible if I said it and it went through? Also I was in the room with her (The Crossroads) cause she put up a message saying where she was.
Sigh, I wanted some snow shoes too. :cry:

That is a bummer, Crazy. Those people doing that stuff in the room were most undoubtedly doing those things on purpose to either force people to leave because of lag, or to DC them. I'd bet good money one of their clones won in that room. It's a 'strategy' I'm seeing used more and more often. I think it's......................way uncool. One might refer to it as 'dirty pool'.
The fact that the words went out of your box merely means that she was in the room while you were...but she had already been found if your text wasn't highlighted in blue.
I have more to add about what I've been told about the 'host hunt bug'...but don't have the time right now. Sigh.

I was never able to have it go through before even when she was in the room if someone had already won, but c'est la vie.

I don't doubt this for a second because when I became unfrozen she had already came and a girl standing near the talkers won. I even tried to ignore them, but was swamped with requests for friendship and trades that it was very hard to get them all. Oh well, I gave up on the hunt after that because if people like that need it so badly then I don't need the drama. I hardly win Host Prizes because of the dirty pool so I am use to it anyway. I just wish Host Games were back so everyone had a chance to win and could have a shot at the prize. I know it won't be as rare, but I just like the items, I don't care if they are rare or not.

If you get a trade request during a host hunt, announce that you are not trading. If they persist, report them. If they send a friend request, click the 'x' in the top right of the box to make it go away. They won't be able to friend request you again, and you can decline the request when you log back on the next time ;) Same with trades, really. Just leave the box open or 'x' it out. Not sure about whether that keeps the trade request 'active' or not...haven't tested it. Still, if you've made it known that you don't accept trades and they request a trade anyways, it's report time.
