As I was on doing some questing before closing tonight, I noticed the "Crossword Puzzle" option was available in the Menu Options. I decided to take a break and give it a try. When I finished, I saw an area to click for winners. I was 13th on the list. Apparently there was the following "Blast" in game before I logged on for the evening:

There is a trial of our new crossword puzzle feature which you will find on the Menu selection.
The first to complete the crossword will receive a Floor Lamp. Others who complete the crossword will receive 250 credits!
If you do not see the Crossword selection on your Menu items, please refresh.

Took me forever to get to sleep after finishing the thing.  My heart was racing. LOL. 

This was DEFINITELY not a game that was geared towards kids...by any stretch of the imagination.  Maybe us adults have been given our own entertainment...instead of a 'shoot 'em up' game?  Personally, I like both

Sadly, I noticed on another VFK forum that an adult suggested that 'crossword generators' be used. 

This is very disappointing...as many kids will not even bother TRYING to figure out the puzzles now, because they want to be first to win.  Maybe VFK should rethink awarding prizes for this game.  Now it will be a competition to see who can use the generators the quickest in order to 'even the playing field'...instead of relying on players skills to solve the puzzles.

I started the puzzle, but realized this is not for kids as I was going along.  Then I tried the Save to see if when I go back today if it's still there.  Sleep was needed more than a lamp

I'd expect kids to suggest that, but an adult?  --I can see those generators spinning in high gear now.

Perhaps VFK should award only credits to the players that complete; and the same amount of credits no matter where in the "Completed Puzzle Winners." Then perhaps more would use their brains instead of generators.  I also hope they make these puzzles easier or the kids won't bother anyways.

I think she meant that VFK should give only credits...instead of ridiculously uber-rare lamps...as the prize to everyone who completes it.  Less incentive then for people to be 'first'.  

Yeah, the generators are out there...and the kids will find them.  However:  shame on the kids if the KIDS find them.  Shame on the adults if the ADULTS make the kids aware of them or suggest they use them.  Just my 2 cents...not including state tax.
