Also...in case you missed the ending popup of the host hunt, this is what it said:

"HOST_Dragon was found by mr.king.man and HOST Harmony was found by Matty!! Congratulations!! Check your inventory for your HOST HUNT Exclusive Prize !! REMEMBER, You can only win once daily. Thank you for playing.

Not sure if this means that there will be different gnomes IN ADDITION to the ones released today...or whether there will be new gnomes INSTEAD OF the ones released today. More left to interpretation..

I too checked last night when I saw host teleporter game and could not find it on the list. ROFL then I went and read it. Shocking it is.

But why 6:00 EST. because theat is no good for anyone except kids in the eastern area. That would be 3:00 PST. Dinner time for most families in EST. Alot of people will not be home from work. Seems kinda odd?

However, this is what is confusing me. It clearly states as many times as you want. So does this mean the 1 Host prize per title is out the window? Anyone know???

Thank goodness my boss is on a business trip this week! For some unknown reason, VFK loves the 3 to 4 pm Pacific time weekday slot. I suspect the lines will be so long that I'll only be able to get through once.

Yeah, .It and I went round and round about that wording last night, too. Why can't they be crystal clear on things? It used to be you could only win a prize once.

Also, notice they don't say what exactly is the Host Prize for this particular event. They could very well be coming up with a different Host Prize that the garden gnome.

In the past, they haven't allowed the same player to win the teleporter game more than once (I've called them on the carpet about it a couple times...with no success). If you wanted to win again, you had to log a different player on. However: if the game featured 3 different prizes, that one person could win each of those prizes once. If they tried to win the same prize again (or won it by accident), there would be a popup stating that you've already won that prize.

The announcement of the teleporter game on Tuesday says that the prize will be the garden gnome. The additional controversy of the last host hunt popup from yesterday saying:

"Read the home page for details on how you can win a different HOST Gnome this week!!! See you there Hugs from Harmony and Dragon"

...adds an additional question or 2 into the mix. Tomorrow should be interesting

If I'm mistaken about any of that, please someone feel free to correct me.

It can get very confusing.

Ironically, I only found out about the limitation with the teleporter games BECAUSE I had a player win a second time...and their prize was denied. I contacted help, and received a message back saying that you're only allowed to win once on the teleporter game. It's either an unwritten rule, or it's in the popups that announce the start of the game....you know....the popup that nobody really reads (like me

). We usually win more than once when we play because Flamanette plays on our other computer. Better odds, obviously

Actually, I believe that you can only win a prize once per player in both the teleporter and ride-a-thon games. See the following pics:

Maybe they change the rules from time to time? Who knows. I just hope they tell us!

Fun: honestly can't remember. I think there was a teleporter game for the gold magic. Can't remember the details. Hey...join the confused club!

The ride start pieces...something called a "Spring Ride Madness" ride-a-thon I believe. Sheesh...wish I can remember.

I seem to remember being able to get more than one as well...and I remember the different colors in different rooms.

Maybe it's different rules for each game? Sigh...

Yes, the Luck of the Irish magic was won in a HOST Teleporter game back in February.

AGREED! I'm never thrilled with this time slot. I try and work around it, mostly because we can get in line and be afk off and on -- thank goodness! It's 5 pm here for me (Central). So, yep ... right in the middle of dinner time.

But, I have noticed almost ALWAYS, VFK has Host Hunts, Teleporter games, etc. during this time slot. Anywhere from 4:30pm - 6pm , for a start time usually. Not a really good time indeed.

I read the webpage announcement: "You may win as many times as you can choose the right Teleporter." As you can win multiple times, as long as you choose the correct winning teleporter. So, idk... confusing as ever if VFK is changing their own rules then.

ETA: Also, I am going to add the specific date to the Subject Line of this thread too, with the beginning time of the event.

Just a quick FYI: Fish.i (Mermaid Melusina) has a broken computer and may not be able to do the teleporter game tonight.

I'm going to try to cover her, but I may not be successful. If others could keep Fish.i in mind as well by acquiring extras...just in case...that would be awesome. We should know tonight or tomorrow (I hope) if she was able to get on or not. Thanks everyone.

I received a sweet note from Princess shortly after the Host Game started and I saw the she and King were on! Hope that's a good sign that she is on the road to recovery!!

Signed into the game very close to the 3 pm Pacific Time start and I was delighted to find I was number 56. However, as VFK tried to transport me into the Host Game, I became stuck in that transition screen!! Fortunately the Help button was working and I quickly sent VFK a note asking them if I should continue waiting or what? Finally, since I had to get back to work,

I pressed the refresh key. I was very happy to almost immediately receive a Pop Up message from VFK. They gave me a gnome since I had difficulties getting into the Game!

Isn't that a great sign that VFK continues to move in the right direction?

I logged in on spares who don't own much to help cut the lag. Kept doing "Disk Cleanup" every so often while they all waited.

None got the dc, one spare got booted from host room just as he entered - sent message to Help and almost immediately was sent back "sorry, check inventory..." they sent him the gnome.

Yep, yep Disco, good sign!

Loved the fact they had 3 host rooms open with each having half the porters as winners!

We did make it on tonight and were able to get some little gnomes. Last night we hopped on for the last ten minutes of closing on Main Street. It was my first time back in game for weeks. I knew it would take me a while to catch up here. I am hoping to catch everyone up on how we are doing. I am feeling a little better and grandma has the kids until Friday so I can rest and do some doctor visits and follow up tests. Boo.

More good news: Fish.i was able to log on tonight and do the teleporter games! She's working with a computer not firing on all cylinders...but it worked well enough for her tonight

The game was pretty non-eventful for us tonight. A couple crashes. Fins line seemed to have MAJOR problems for at least the first half of the game. It crawled at a snails pace (when it moved). Dragons was a little better, but not by much it seemed. Harmonys line....ROCKED! We ended up staying in her line to finish the game.

Was a bit of an odd game in that it wasn't the clear teleporters (that look like big window panes) like I was expecting. It was a ride/teleporter/ride game. lol. Alot of bottlenecks at the entrance to the host rooms (unavoidable). It's gotta be extremely hard for the hosts to boot AFK people from there. I still prefer the ride-a-thons that automagically put you on the ride...rather than having people take minutes to choose which ride to get on...or to talk up the hosts. Runs alot quicker and alot less waiting.

Noticed one or 2 interesting things during the game:

The parrots were programmed to say 'hi' for the hosts and to give directions. LOL. Very clever.

Also saw during part of Harmonys ride a standing gnome that isn't out yet. Looks cool

Yup, it was allowed. Not sure if I'd rely on that in the future, though. I guess the best idea is to ask the first host we see if one player can win multiple times (and take a pic of their response, of course). Looks like the rules tend to change with the event.
