Egg Hunt Has Begun! 4-12-09

The VFK Egg Hunt has begun! There was no pop up with instructions in game, but all you do is pop into each room and click on the eggs in the room. There are also eggs on the maps.

The homepage said the egg hunt will happen Sunday and Monday, so plenty of time. This is really fun!

Anyone know the times for this Egg Hunt?  I started it and got like 3 rooms so far; now I have to leave for dinner at the In-Laws.

Hugs Fun!  :hug: I think it is going on from now until tomorrow, like how they did the trick or treating? Just a guess though!

Also, if anyone is having trouble with lag or crowds in the rooms, you can still hunt for eggs in single user mode. I just tested this to see. Simply log in as usual. Open another window or tab and log the same character on again. The first player screen will show the disconnect message. Do not hit reconnect, just click the "x" to close the dc message and you will then be in single mode. You can just exit out of the second screen or tab.

I posted a few pics of rooms with eggs in it and the message that pops up when you click on the egg. Wonder if there will be special treats after collecting a certain number of eggs? The home page says,

"Unlock your special Easter Gifts throughout the hunt as you collect your Easter Eggs!"

Don't know about finding a special egg but I received a special egg at one point.  Don't know how many I had collected to get it, I wasn't keeping track.

Bear in mind that every egg you collect goes into your inventory.  I only did the Medieval rooms so far and it took me a bit to get them all moved into storage.

Before I got rudely dropped out.. I had counted I had 72 eggs.  Very shortly after.. so maybe 100 is the magic number.. I got a message that I was doing so well, VFK put a golden egg in my inventory.

But I never got to check it out to see what it was or if it held anything.

 :madder: VFK, let me back in!  I want to find out what my gold egg is!  :mad:

got my second gold egg. Now when will be able to get rid of all these eggs. I had to dump everything in a room just to make room for eggs. wish we could sell our junk lol

The eggs can be ridiculous to find.  The outback eggs will make you go blind!  :hypno: There's a bunch of reddish ones out there that are so tiny, they look like rocks! 

Another problem is that the eggs are coming back!  So you think you missed an egg, go to click on it and it says "you've already found this egg" !!!  Ugh.  Let them stay gone, please!!

We counted like 75 eggs before we received a Gold egg (although players elsewhere are saying 100...regardless, it's alot).  It's a rather large egg...we think a little bigger than the ones offered in the store.  I was able to get 3 gold eggs with one player.  Couldn't find any more eggs after that.

Wendy:  I did the single player mode...and it didn't help with the lag at all, but at least there weren't ppl all over the place standing on eggs.  Might do it later on tonight after the kiddies go to bed.  Hopefully the lag will be less and I'll force single player mode again.

Eeeek!  Sounds like a nightmare!  I haven't even tried to start doing this Hunt yet.

I'm assuming you have to click or walk over EVERY egg you see then?  Not just a single egg for each room?

I have been using the magnifier program on my computer to find those tiny eggs. Works great.  ;)

oh dear, no easy way out on this one then.  Yikes!  Thanks   ;)
