I stay Zoomed out almost all the time.  That's probably a big issue for me.  And the streaming music, which I haven't turned off.  I also have never paid attention to the amount of avatars in any given space either.

I don't lag all the time, but it's good to be aware of these things so that I can personally pay attention now to most of them.
