Purpleduck:
I got this from a friend.  Hmm.. VMKish sounding, but also wreaks of $$$ to be spent.

DreamTulip:
Very interesting and nice find!  I was trying to find more info and found this statement: "We’ll see if this time Disney hits the jackpot and sticks to the game instead of shutting it down and leaving thousands of players behind." at http://www.unigamesity.com/new-disney-mmo-disney-fantasy-online-announced/ .  Are they talking about our VMK?
I am wondering why can't Disney make games on their own since this is a team effort between Disney and NetDragon? Also, is it going to be for the USA or just China?

PrincessWendyBird:
You know, part of me gets excited and then I get that sick feeling in the pit of my gut. The one that comes with the memory of the mess of VMK closing. Do we really have that to give to Disney again? We will always love Disney and the magic of our visits to WDW. However, even if this is the game to end all games, I don't know if I have it in me to dance this dance with WDIG again.

funfly:
Interesting....and thinking the same as you Princess.

SleepingBeth:
on the netdragon website, it looks like the game will be for china:

"[2 December 2008, Hong Kong] NetDragon Websoft Inc.("NetDragon" or the "Company", and its subsidiaries collectively called the "Group"; Stock Code: 777), one of the leading online game developers and operators in China, together with The Walt Disney Company's Interactive Media Group today announced their first Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) "Disney Fantasy Online" will be launched in Spring 2009. This fun and dynamic game is set to be the most highly anticipated game for the season....

"Disney is committed to providing gamers in China with the ultimate digital entertainment destination. Our characters and stories endure across generations, platforms and now immersive online experiences," said Mr. Stanley Cheung, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Walt Disney Greater China. "We are very pleased to be cooperating with NetDragon, to create a unique, fun, and brand-new entertainment experience for gamers"."
