Flushing the Tank?
« on: October 12, 2008, 03:48 PM »

When I was changing the Water Temp. I got this message.  I wasn't sure what to choose so I just closed it.  If I flush the tank I'm not sure if it's just to keep it clean or get rid of all my fish.  :??:

I got some answers when I posted to the Forums on Gaia and the reason why they are asking me to flush my tank is because there is a dead fish.  I lost 2 of my Goldfish today.

I think there is something wrong with the Aquarium again.  I lost another 2 fish today!  They were 2 Goldfish that I added in yesterday after flushing my tank to get rid of my other 2 dead fish.

I lost a few gold fish as well - no idea what happened - they didn't die yet and I don't see any flush options.

I don't play with my tank anymore (way too expensive), but I am enjoying tapping on tanks in people's signatures in the forums.  :rofl1:

Rofl, thats funny. It appears it could be expensive but I go to the tank for the daily prize from the oyster.  As long as I have living fish I will feed them, althought the atmosphere in the tank has been described as dismal.

I've only noticed missing goldfish. no magical pop up to tell me they died? and some people say they've gotten items from their dead fishies?

This is what I got from a Goldfish.  Not sure what it is and if it gives me something.  :hmmmm:
If I had another one I would use it to see what it does, but I only have one.  The dead fish items are for sale in the Marketplace,
 Goldfish - 600
 Arrow Fish - 19,500
 Cuttlefish - 25,000
 Sharktooth Fish - 50,000
(these are all the lowest price posted)

WOW ~ about how much gold, the dead fish items are, for sale in the marketplace!

Seems like these fish are worth more dead, than living??

I had 2 dead goldfish today.  It said I was given goldfish drops, but I looked in my inventory under Special, and there isn't anything there.  Does this take awhile to show up I wonder in inventory, or something else wrong with the aquarium??

My goldfish saw the "flusher" . It must have been a poor fish.   I was left nothing in "the estate"...unless things are tied up in probate.

I'm having a few of my goldfish mysteriously disappear without saying they died.

My first two got flushed and I got the goldfish drops for them.  Then two more just mysteriously disappeared and I don't think their lifespan was even up yet.  I've got nothing from the overseer the last couple of days either--haven't checked yet today.

Well I contacted Gaia about not receiving any Goldfish Drops.  I asked in my email, if I should be looking elsewhere in my Inventory for the Drops, or if takes some time for them to appear?  This is their response via email below:

Geez! Sounds like these virtual fish tanks are as much problem as real ones.   :lolg:

We bought our daughter a used fish tank at a garage sale and she bought the fish with her own money and they were all dead with in the week.   Poor kid.   (of course WE gave her her money back  :lolg:)
