Ok I have to be honest most of the time I am checking the VFK forum here to find out if we can sit yet. So instead of not posting and coming here like 10 times a day; Thought I would start a check in thread.

Here is how is goes.

ok it have been so long since our virtual little mes' have sat down I thought a refresher course is need so we are more than prepare to accomplish this endevour when we are given the bug free ok. Which I will be so good because sitting with bugs would just make my behind itchy

Anyone stop to think, that once we can sit.. the amount of damage to furniture caused by King or Ant blowing holes in the seats?

I am not that great at either way of earning credits, so in my case, I might need (for financial purposes - not rudeness), to umm limit who I invite to my place?

  Oh my never thought of it that way. Maybe the slow down is they are waiting for a shipment of Scotch Guard. Since they probably ran out by now. Or they have gotten them all guarded from excess explosions and just waiting for them to dry.

I do not know I think sitting is one of the first things you develpe in a game. Something tells me because they did not have this programmed at the beginning and it is causing them much grief and heartache. Maybe now they have to code all the furniture and each player individually.  Who knows but we can not get out horse till they have done this.

Yep, that is precisely why all of our furniture is covered with plastic here!

Well I must say I have been pretty patient with VFK. Maybe I just do not undertand how hard it is to code sitting. But to me this is a basic skill for any on line game. So what gives any idea why they can not get sitting working. Maybe they need to hire some people that have actually made an on line game.  There better get moving or they will loose their audience. And if Elf island is anthing like the picture they are in trouble.  They need to organize fast to get something going staff games themes etc.

There is only so much time you can spend in VFK. Before bordem takes over.

I looked like I was standing in a chair last night if that counts for anything

They did make an adjustment to how you interact with space that may be related to their work on sitting/horse riding.  Three places I notice a difference: first chairs I used to just walk against I now walk through. Second I had furniture stuck in an unreachable spot, behind the wall in the conference room - also included would be your front poarch and the Gazebo in the park, you can now reach items in these areas. .  Third I noticed that you can identify people that are in these locations mentioned. 

Theses are positive changes that seem to be working towards sitting or so I would think.  I would not have thought sitting would be so difficult.

no - I mean if you click people standing in those spots before you could not identify them - that has been corrected. We still have no idea where in the game people are if they are not in the same room as you.

You can only sit on the real pink couch and only one person rofl. This does not bode well I think you need to click a sit button. It only shows up with the real pink couch does that mean they have to do this will all furniture

Well unfortunately they stopped sitting to work on it more  So you can click the sit but and just keep standing

OK, I just had to share these with everyone. I saw these at the fan forum and I literally almost spit water onto the laptop! It seems that some of the sitting bugs have shown we were created to be ummm... anatomically correct. 



And this gives new meaning to "there's a moon out tonight.".

And that is the reason I am posting it. Any hints or rumors when we will be able to sit on anything and not just the blue chair and two couches. Really missed not being able to add that to my new room. Wondering if it is just too big an issue that we will never be able to sit. I think from what I see they would need to code each piece of sitting furniture. Boy I did take for grant that it was just a click to sit down. So just walk to a teleporter and like magic you were off.

So just wondering.

At this time, I think thats it.  While they would have to program it to each sitting object - they should have been planning for it so it should be a matter of having one script they apply to each object.  I think they will eventually do eveything that should be done but for now I think you settle for the pink or blue couches and the arm chairs that can be sat in.  Not always the best for room design but so far what you will continue to have to live with.
