I have to tell you all I cried like a baby  :cry: when i heard the site was down and that it was because some people abused all that he had done. It was just like the announcement of VMK closing all over again.

I didn't have the heart to tell princess and I had hoped she wouldn't see it. Every so often I catch her on gpvmk or looking at her VMK pictures- she gets really really quiet and then I see the quiet tears. What GPDOT had done and was doing at least helped princess get that VMK feeling back for a short time. Why can't disney understand what they've done? Breaking a little girls heart is not very nice!

THANK YOU GPDOT but if only...

Does anyone know if there is really going to be a "PC" version of VMK like he mentioned?

Unfortunately, if you read in gpdot's top left corner in the blue box on his site, you'll see this message:

And the reason for this might be his last couple of paragraphs before the Big Blue Button that says to Enter.  These comments are:

 "It has been brought to my attention that different groups have been "decoding" GPVMK and using it for their new attempts at making VMK.

I am sorry to do this, but GPVMK has taken a lot of my time and effort and it is clear that it is being taken by others for use in their programs without permission. This is now the final version due to circumstances beyond my control.

I still appreciate all he has done for us.  :bighug:

I'm just upset that whoever those few  :uhuh: are that abused it :bm: :td: -- have ruined a really good thing!

GPDOT, thank you for all you have done for us; and so sorry that your work was abused by others.

I noticed there was no date but I strolled down memory lane couple nights back....sigh is right.

No idea when and if there will be a downloadable verson (other than what he had posted) I noticed it in June 09 and not sure how long his message of it leaving had been posted there.

This just in...

I emailed GPDOT and he replied as follows:

"I am waiting on an existing group to finish the final touches on their new format to set up the download, they have agreed to host the download and future versions of GPVMK. I unfortunately won’t know when they will be ready any sooner than they do.  I have made many enhancement as well as some security measures to a version that will be on the site, but not downloadable."
