I was just wondering where everyone gets their Layouts from.  I did a Google Search for Gaia Profiles and I found this: http://www.tektek.org/profiles/    They have a few cute ones, but I wanted to know where you get yours from.   And if you make your own where do you go to do that?

Mine is one from Gaia. 

My Profile, Edit My Profile (right side of screen), then Theme (first option in the pop up box for adding/changing theme, text, photos etc.)

I agree some of our friends have amazing profiles!

I'm sure there are ways to import a background in from photo bucket too.

My profile originally was from http://www.tektek.org -- replaced colors, banners, and photos with my own that are hosted on photobucket.

BTW...tektek is an awesome site that has sooooo much more than profiles. It has every item that has ever come out in Gaia, you can play with making your dream avi, and many other things as well.

I agree, everyone has beautiful profiles!  Great work everyone!

I am not that artistic, so mine will always be a work in progress.  hehe   

But I do enjoy looking at everyones profiles ~ they are just beautiful!

I started doing my own layout but when I use internet explorer i noticed that the columns are messed up so I need to change again my base background of the layout  -_-

Yes, mine was also originally from tektek, but I played around the the coding, colors, imported my own background, headers and graphics.

Well I FINALLY got mine and Goofer's layouts up.  Took me awhile to figure it all out, but I got it! Woot.

Now all I have to do is try and figure out how to play around with the code like Michelle and Days. LOL.

If there is someone who doesn't understand how to get the code from tektek.org onto you gaia profile let me know and I will try to explain it.

Okay I am in need of a little help with my profile.  I picked a layout from tektek and would like to tweek it. I had my brother helping me before, but he went to play some ball with friends and now I am alone at trying to figure this out.

Well what I want to do is fix how my comment area looks.  I would like to have the Avatars shown with the glittery look around them.  But everytime I try to fix it up I get the Avatars with the glittery look but the cover up the comments.

you need to change the margin property in #comments dl dd

My brother came across this site where you can type in someone's avatar name and get their profile along with the code.  You can also put in a code, tweek it and then preview it all on this one page. It was alot easier then tweeking on Gaia, submitting, then viewing and doing it all over again.
Just thought I would put it out there.

I have just been using a gaia profile and adding things here and there, but I really want to change it up a bit. So maybe I will give it a go today!

Well I did my profile over today and I want to put my playlist in but I can't figure out how to get it into my Media section, it's not showing up under my account preferences.

Does anyone know what to do? LOL

You'll want to paste that coding into your Multimedia section, which can be found under My Gaia> Account.. and then on that right hand column of links, you'll see

The Multimedia isn't there.   The Profile I am using is "Current" so that Mulimedia isn't showing up, it only shows up under "Classic" and the profile I made can't go under the "Classic" profile.

Guess I need to find another way to get my playlist on there.

I have done that also, and still haven't found it.  I will keep trying.   (I have both Media and Playlist on my Profile)

I have done that also, and still haven't found it.  I will keep trying.   (I have both Media and Playlist on my Profile)

Media is to add things like video, music playlist.
To add a content to the window, you need to click on edit of the Media Content then you need to past the link you have to your playlist

Playlist is when you created a video playlist directly from Gaia.

OOoHHhh!  I didn't know you can Edit that right there on your page.  Well I learned something new today.

Now to just get some pictures together to put in and then I am done. Hopefully.
