Bridges are not only building projects, but they represent the concept of coming together in friendship, or merely maintaining contact and communication with others. Bridges do more than just join two places, they make barriers to movement and travel disappear. Bridges can be a simple log over a stream, or a great engineering achievement and monument to the technology of the time. The artistic imagination and abilities of the bridge designers and builders is forever immortalized in their bridge creation.
