« on: March 22, 2014, 05:03 PM »

pop up in game:

Sheepie herds have moved into the grassy areas of Medieval Age!
They're awfully woolly, so grab a pair of Sheepie Shears from the Western Mercantile and get them ready for Spring!

another popup:

Remember, you will need to be holding a pair of Sheepie Shears available from the Specials Section in the Western Mercantile to shear the sheepies!
Make sure to stock up on wool, its great for dying, spinning, weaving and even creating amazing outfits!

Hung around for closing party on the map, to hear what players said about the issues we experienced with the sheep, and what staff, in particular, VFK_Enigma replied.

- There were a lot of complaints about having to wait an hour for the wool to return to each sheep.  Reply from Enigma was that the rush would die down, and would make it easier soon.

- I questioned if that meant the sheep would be around until Tuesday, when the next event to deal with the wool was due.  Reply from Enigma was that the sheep would be around for "a while", which included "beyond Tuesday".

- It did not look like staff was too interested in concerns from those that had not gotten any wool yet, again staff replied, the rush would die down.

That was about all staff took regarding the sheep.  They steered the conversation onto other topics..

Just got some "helpful tips" from others:

- It takes an hour for any sheep to regrow its wool (they are NOT all on the same schedule)

- Once you click on the sheep and get the message that shearing has begun and will take about a minute:
    - Do not click the "OK" button, let that pop up stay there,
    - Don't talk,
    - Don't move your player,
    - Be patient, it really will take one or two minutes before the next pop up,
    - ONLY WHEN you see the pop up that says you are DONE with the shearing and that you have wool, should you resume normal play.

- Advisable to have a clone nearby.  In case you do any of the above mistakes or something goes wrong, you want to have a back up that can step right in to take over shearing, before someone else steps in.

Pop up in game:

Spinning starts on Tuesday, be prepared by picking up the Spinning Book in Merlin’s arriving at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (8:00 PM Eastern Time)!
Once you have the spinning book, go to the Training option under MENU, click on the book, and press the “Start Selected” button!
That’s all you need to do! You can then kick back and wait for your training to complete!
